From time to time there are special needs that require resources beyond what our operating budget can provide. When those projects or needs arise, we work to make our MCS family aware.
Over the years we have been blessed to have many MCS families step up and help meet those needs.
One of the main goals we have for this summer is to continue upgrading our classroom technology. We began this effort last summer thanks to over $25,000 in donations.
THE NEED
Technology in the classroom is a great tool. Over time, technology wears out, becomes obsolete, and needs updating. We have several classrooms that need an upgrade in interactive technology.
Of our 33 classrooms, 14 have updated technology. Of the 19 classrooms still with old technology, 12 are in desperate need of upgrades due to failing equipment.
- 7 classrooms need an interactive NewLine system (about $3,000 each).
- 5 classrooms need a VIVI system (about $1,000 each).
The total cost of these summer upgrades is $26,000.
This would enable us to have updated technology in every preschool and elementary classroom and in most upper school classrooms.
