"Coaching at Maryville Christian has been a blessing for me and my family. Pouring into the student athletes that are apart of this community has been nothing short of incredible. I hope that in my time here I can develop young men of character who can become great men, leaders, husbands, and fathers. Baseball is a game of life lessons and I hope the guys can grow in our program."

Coach Griffin Tate is in his first year as the Head coach at Maryville Christian and as the Assistant Athletic Director.  Coach Tate is in his sixth-year coaching overall with stops at Johnson University, Harmony High School in St. Cloud, Florida, and Clinton High School in Clinton, TN. Coach Tate’s playing career consisted of being a two time all conference player in high school, and an all-state pitcher his senior year, when he broke the state record for innings pitched in a season. He then continued his playing career with two years at Asbury University and three years at Johnson University. Coach Tate is supported by his wife Kristi and knows that he wouldn’t be the coach he is without her sacrifice.
