"Coaching at MCS has been a wonderful experience. I enjoy not only building a team but pushing them to always be a leader on and off the court. We encourage one another walk with The Lord as we complete Bible studies that exemplify what it means to be a cheerLEADER and push one another to always strive for their personal best in everything they do. Watching them grow, learn, and accomplish new goals is something that brings me such joy. Coaching at MCS has been a true blessing and at the conclusion of every season, I am always looking forward to discovering new ideas, stunts, and dances the next season will bring!”

Coach Angela Hassenzahl is in her second season as the Maryville Christian School Cheer coach. She also is a High School teacher at MCS and came to MCS from her alma mater Fowlerville High School in Fowlerville, MI, where she also coached cheerleading. As a student athlete at Fowlerville she was on the Cheer squad and won a state championship her junior season. She is supported in coaching by her husband and their three daughters, and she considers them to be her main inspiration for coaching.
