Back to School Instructions, COVID Protocols, and More
We can’t wait for school to start tomorrow. Here are some back-to-school announcements.
First Day Instructions: Due to limited parking and construction taking place on campus, only preschool and kindergarten parents will be allowed to walk their students into the building. (This is not required, but it is allowed on the first day.) We do have someone who will be on campus to take first day pictures for you. Those will be shared with parents.
Boo-Hoo Breakfast: The first-grade parents will be hosting a Boo-Hoo Breakfast for
kindergarten parents in the library immediately following drop-off tomorrow.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up: You can view the drop-off and pick-up maps HERE. The only change from last year is that elementary pick-up will be at 3:05.
Student Handbook: Please click THIS LINK to review the Student/Parent Handbook and sign the Google form indicating your agreement.
Secondary Schedules: If your middle or high school student did not receive his/her schedule at our Back-to-School bash, you can view it on your FACTS account. If your student has any questions, please have them stop by the high school office tomorrow morning.
Reporting an Absence: If your student is going to be absent, please let us know either by calling the main office or by emailing us at email@example.com.
New FACTS Family App: Within the next couple of weeks we will be launching a new FACTS Family app. Be on the lookout for more information.
COVID Protocols: Unfortunately, COVID is still something we must navigate this year. Here is how we will handle exposure, quarantines, and positive cases.
•Please know that we are committed to being on campus for in person learning.
While we do not anticipate having to ever transition to online learning, please know
that this is an absolute last resort, and one we hope to completely avoid.
•If a student or employee tests positive for COVID, they must quarantine for 10 days.
•If a student or employee is exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID
(within 6 feet of an infected individual for more than 15 minutes), they must either
quarantine for 10 days, if they do not get tested; or 7 days if they receive a negative
test between day 5 and day 7 of their quarantine.
•If a student or employee who has been vaccinated (or has had COVID in the past 3
months) is exposed to someone who tests positive, they do not need to quarantine.
•If someone on campus tests positive for COVID, we will notify those individuals (and parents) who have been exposed (within 6 feet of an infected individual for more than 15 minutes). Those individuals will need to follow the quarantines guidelines listed above.
•We understand that determining who has been exposed is difficult. Because of that, if someone in a class tests positive, we will notify everyone in that class of possible exposure. However, only those who have been confirmed to have been exposed (within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) will be required to quarantine.
•We daily monitor information from local pediatricians, the local health department, the state of Tennessee, and/or the CDC.
We are excited about this school year, and can’t wait to see what God is going to do. If we can help you in any way, please let us know.
