ANNOUNCEMENTS & REMINDERS

Homecoming Festivities: Homecoming is tonight! The tailgate starts at 4:00 with games beginning at 4:30. The games are BLACKOUT so wear your black Community t-shirt. If you don't have one, they will be available for purchase before the games. We are excited to welcome our alumni back on campus for a chance to reconnect! Good Hombres food truck will be here for your dining enjoyment. All alumni will receive a $5 food voucher for Good Hombres. 

Weather-Related Delays and Closures: As we head into the time of year when inclement weather is a possibility, we want to provide some information on how decisions are made to close or delay school. Please keep the following in mind:

• We do not necessarily follow the city or county schools’ decisions.

• Due to our high number of student drivers, we err on the side of caution.

• We try to make decisions by 8:00 pm for the next day. Sometimes the weather changes after a decision is made.

• We post decisions to close or delay on social media & TV news outlets (MCS will be listed by name). We also will send out a text and email alert.
  

Car Wash Vouchers: There are a few more car wash vouchers available for purchase at the main office. The proceeds will go towards updating the concession/kitchen area. Each voucher is good for a $30 Graph-X4 car wash from Tidal Wave Auto Spa. You can purchase one voucher for $12 or two for $20! 

Annual Fund: Our annual fund is up and running. To learn more about how you can support MCS and help us reach our goal of $200,000, click HERE.

December 18: Please remember that December 18th is a full day for all 1st-12th grade students and is the last day for Extended Care this semester. (PK & K will be dismissed after their concert.)

Upper School Capstones: Please make note of the upper school capstone dates for the fall: December 19th & 20th. Remember that upper school students are required to be present during their scheduled capstones. Students who are absent from a capstone will receive a zero. Should a student have an emergency or illness the day of a capstone, a parent should contact the Academic Dean (not the teacher) to make arrangements for the capstone to be made up. Students may not complete capstones in advance of the scheduled time to begin a break early or take a trip.

Yearbooks: Yearbooks are on sale now through December 31 for $55! Order yours by December 18 for a chance to win a free copy! Everyone who has ordered up to this date will be entered. The winner will be announced on December 19 on the Eagle News Instagram page. The price will increase to $65 after Christmas break. Gym Floor Construction: The gym will be unavailable over Christmas break beginning December 20 due to the refinishing.
