SCHOOL UPDATES

Summer Update | July 22

I hope your summer is going well. It is hard to believe, but we are only a little over two weeks away from the start of the new school year. Over the next couple of weeks please keep an eye on your email and the SCHOOL BLOG as there will be a number of updates.

Here are a few things to know as we head toward the beginning of August.

1- First Day of School- The first day of school is Monday, August 8th.

2- Back-to-School Bash, August 5th- Go ahead and mark this date on your calendar. We will have food trucks, inflatables, and games. This will also serve as our open house. There will be time to meet teachers, visit classrooms, learn about ways to be involved at MCS, and hear about exciting plans for the 2022-2023 school year. You can learn more HERE.

3- 7th Grade Orientation- On Thursday, August 4 at 7:00pm, we will have a special orientation for students entering 7th grade. In Upper School, there are some changes in student routines, teacher expectations, discipline policy, dress code, and instructional approach. This meeting will give all parents and students the information they need to have a successful transition into the Upper School. This meeting will take place in the band room.

4- Student/Parent Handbook- Our 2022-2023 Student/Parent Handbook is now available online. Check it out to view school policies, dress code, other school-related items. You can view it HERE.

5- School Calendar- Please be sure to look at our school calendar as it has some differences from last year. You can view it HERE.

6- Lower School Supply List- Our 2022-2023 School Supply List for PreK-6th grade is available on our website.

7- NEW School Start Times: To help ease traffic congestion in the mornings and afternoons, we are staggering our Lower School and Upper School drop off and pick up times. - Upper School students who are dropped off earlier with Lower School

siblings will remain in the gym (supervised).

PICK UP

- Lower School pick-up will begin at 3:00.

- Upper School pick-up will begin at 3:25.
