2- $300,000 Matching Campaign for STEM: It's not often that you can have your donation to MCS automatically doubled. We have been blessed to have a donor offer a $300,000 matching donation. If we raise $300,000, the donor will give an additional $300,000. This means that every dollar you give is automatically doubled. Through the generosity of other MCS stakeholders, we have already raised a little over $100,000.
We have three mini-campaigns to help us meet this goal by the end of November: a STEM Naming Campaign, a General Sponsorship Campaign, and a Brick Paver Campaign. Click HERE to learn more or to give.
3- Flu Clinic: As a service to our families, MCS will be hosting a flu clinic on September 20th from 3:00-5:00 pm in the gym. Flu shots will be available to anyone associated with MCS. Bring your insurance card. No other fees will be charged. Please contact Teresa.Bolinger@mcstn.org with any questions.
4- Damage to Chromebooks: Please remember that students are responsible for taking care of their Chromebooks. While we have warranties on these school-owned devices, it does not cover damage from neglect or abuse. Because of this, the cost of repairs that are not covered under the warranty will be charged to your FACTS account.
Common charges that could be incurred:
Screen replacement: $140.00
Keyboard replacement: $55.00
Protective case replacement: $30.00
Power cord replacement: $20.00
Upon repair, it may be necessary to replace other parts.
In some cases, the cost of replacing the entire Chromebook is cheaper than replacing all the broken parts. In those cases, the total cost to replace the whole Chromebook & protective case is $350.
5- Coupon Books - Thank you to everyone who has helped sell coupon books this year! We only have a handful of books left in the main office. Please be sure to send in all coupon book money by Tuesday.
