Altered Schedule: Please remember that due to parent/teacher conferences, our schedules for Thursday and Friday are different.


  • Thursday: Early dismissal day for lower school students only.


    • Pk-K5 will dismiss at 11:00 AM.

    • 1st-5th grades will dismiss at 11:30 AM.

    • 6th-12th grades will dismiss at the normal time (3:25 PM).


  • Friday: No school for all students

Dec 16: Upper School Christmas Concert (FBC Maryville at 6:30 PM)

Dec 18: PK & K Christmas Concert (at MCS at 10:00 AM)

Dec 18: Last Day for Lower School (PK-5th Grades)

Dec 19-20: Upper School Capstones (Early Dismissal at 11:50 AM)

Dec 23-Jan 6: Christmas Break for all Students

Jan 7 (Tues): Classes Resume



ANNOUNCEMENTS


Parent/Teacher Conferences: Lower School conferences will take place on both October 24th and 25th. Upper School conferences will take place only on October 25. You can contact the office to schedule your meeting time.


Due to the Parent/Teacher Conferences, Thursday, October 24, is an early dismissal day for Lower School students only. On this day, lunch will only be served to Upper School students and there will be no Extended Care.

There will be no school for all students on Friday, October 25th.


Fall Festival: This year's Fall Festival, sponsored by Eagle Force (PTO), will be on October 26. There are several ways you can help. (1) Volunteer your time, (2) Donate Candy or Prizes, (3) Contribute to the Silent Auction, (4) Sponsor an Area of the Festival, and (5) Show Up! To learn more, click HERE. To volunteer, click HERE.


Checking Students Out Early: Moving forward, if you are picking your student up early, they will only be called out of class once you arrive at the office.


Yearbooks: Own a piece of MCS history by securing your copy of the 2024-2025 Yearbook today! Available online at maryvillechristianschool.org/yearbook. Price increases after Christmas break.


Spring Drama: We are excited about this year's spring production of Roald Dahl's Matilda, Jr.! We will perform three shows at the Clayton Center for the Arts Nutt Theatre on April 25-26, 2025. Auditions will be Saturday, November 16, from 8:30 AM -3:00 PM, and are open to students in 3rd-12th grades. An email with full audition details was sent this past Friday.


Welcome to Two New Board Members: We are excited to welcome two new members to our school board. Jonathan Blair, a parent of MCS students, and Joe Wright, an alumnus of MCS, both started their service at MCS this past week.
