1- $300,000 Matching Campaign for STEM: It's not often that you can have your donation to MCS automatically doubled. We have been blessed to have a donor offer a $300,000 matching donation. If we raise $300,000, the donor will give an additional $300,000. This means that every dollar you give is automatically doubled. Through the generosity of other MCS stakeholders, we have already raised a little over $100,000.
We have three mini-campaigns to help us meet this goal by the end of November, a STEM Naming Campaign, a General Sponsorship Campaign, and a Brick Paver Campaign. Click HERE to learn more or to give.
2- Students Leaving Sick: If a student is not feeling well, they must be sent home by the clinic. Students are not allowed to bypass the clinic and call/text their parents to be picked up. Our process enables us to track illnesses at the school and ensure that a proper, safe, and healthy protocol is being followed.
3- We are hiring After Care workers: If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to Cassie.Williams@mcstn.org.
4- A Couple of Staff Transitions: First, Julie DeBusk submitted her resignation and will be transitioning out of MCS. Her last day at MCS will be September 9th. Second, Laura Gribble is also leaving MCS in order to focus on the marriage ministry in which she serves. She will still be around MCS as a substitute teacher and an office fill-in. Her last day as a full-time employee will be September 30th. We are incredibly thankful to both for their years of service at MCS. Be sure to let them know how much you appreciate them.
We already have Mrs. DeBusk’s High School history classes covered, and we will begin looking for a new Office Assistant next week.
5- Labor Day: This is a reminder that school is closed on Monday, September 5th.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out.
Have a great, relaxing weekend.
