MCS Summer Update | June 1

We hope your summer is off to a great start. While we are already working hard for next year, we wanted to highlight just a few of the great things that happened this past year.


LOOKING BACK


ATHLETICS

  • Added two new athletic programs in 2022 (Cross County & Tennis)

  • 4 varsity programs have new uniforms

  • 2 athletes signed with college programs

STUDENT LIFE

  • Formed Student Life Team

  • Started Student Life Groups

FINANCE OFFICE

  • Awarded $134,800 in tuition assistance

  • Purchased new development software platform

FACILITIES

  • Completed many facility projects to improve campus

  • Added new access control system

  • Replaced gym A/C units and duct work

  • Redesigned the gym floor

  • Completed new state of the art STEM building

ACADEMIC

  • Almost tripled the number of President's Award for Educational Excellence Recipients.

  • Successful DC trip

  • Increased number of National Honor Society Inductees

  • Successful first year of LEAP (Gifted Program)

  • Successful implementation of new Lower School curriculum

  • Started JR Beta Club with 23 new members

FINE ARTS

  • Successful Fall and Spring plays

  • Choirs received superior ratings


LOOKING FORWARD

  • Going into next year with 95% student retention

  • We already have more students enrolled for next year than we had this year.

  • Highest conversion from preK to K5 in school history

  • We are adding an additional preschool class

  • Due to growth, we are splitting several Lower School classes

  • We are working with a firm to develop a master site plan

  • We are working with a firm to develop a marketing plan

  • Our new STEM building is complete and will be fully utilized next year

  • We have secured a $300,000 matching gift to help cover the cost of the STEM building.

We are extremely thankful for all that God has done and is doing at MCS. While we are excited about the rapid growth we are experiencing, we want to be careful to give God all the glory for it.
