MCS Update | May 6th

This is such an exciting time to be at MCS! Enrollment is increasing, the STEM building is nearing completion, and we are aggressively planning for the future. God is at work and we can't wait to see what the next months and years will bring.

Here is this week's update.

1- Parent/Board Meeting- If you are planning to attend the parent/board meeting on May 12 at 6:00 pm. Please register HERE. We will be revealing our newly completed STEM building.

2- Summer Sports Camp Plans- If your student(s) plan on attending our summer sports camps, be sure to register HERE.

3- End of Year Exams- Wednesday, May 18 - Friday, May 20 are early dismissal days for secondary students as they will be taking morning exams on these days.

4- The Last Day of School- Elementary students will begin summer break at the conclusion for their respective end-of-year programs. Specific times for each program will be communicated through the elementary office.

Secondary students will begin summer break after their early dismissal on Friday, May 20 (12:00pm).

5- $150,000 Tuition Assistance Fund Goal- We are working to raise $150,000 for tuition assistance. If you would like to donate to help make it possible for other families to attend MCS, please visit the giving page of our website or send your tax-deductible donation to the school's Business Office.

6- Speech and Debate Club- We are exploring the possibility of starting an after school Speech and Debate club next school year for secondary students. If this is something that you (or your student) would be interested in, please complete the interest form HERE.

7- Special Events- Please check the school calendar in family portal for upcoming special events including choir concert, kindergarten graduation, 6th grade graduation, high school graduation, and elementary award days.

8- PTO- We are extremely thankful for the work Ann Damron and Jenny Goins have put into the PTO over the past several years. With both of them stepping down from their role of directing the PTO, the administration is in the process of putting together a PTO leadership team. If you are interested in being considered for that role, please reach out to Dr. Wallace.

9- Senior Trip Meeting- We will have our last senior trip meeting on Monday at 7:30pm in the Band room.
