Friday is Early Dismissal: Lower school students can be dismissed after their Dash (weather permitting) by signing out with their teacher. Upper school students can be checked out through the main office after their dodgeball team has been eliminated.
For students who are not checked out early, lower school dismissal will be at 11:15. Upper school dismissal will be at 12:30.
Standardized Testing: The week we return from spring break, students in 2nd-8th grades will be taking the Stanford-10 Achievement Test (SAT-10). We work to keep a balanced approach to testing, not overtesting or over-emphasizing testing, but using it as a good source of data to see how our students achieve alongside same-age students nationally. It will be important for that week that students get a good night's rest, eat a good breakfast, and arrive at school on time. Students who arrive after testing begins will not be able to enter the classroom until the next session begins. During this week students in 2nd-8th grades will not have any other homework or tests.
Grade-Level Parent Meetings: The first week of April, Mrs. White will begin meeting with students to register for 2023-2024 courses. The last week of March, Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. White will meet with parents to update you on graduation requirements and course offerings for this upcoming year. The parent meetings will be at the following dates and times in the band room.
