Student Support Services
Mrs. Bolinger holds an Associate in Science degree from South College and is beginning her fourth year here at MCS. She and her husband, Darrell, have two boys, Thomas and William, who are students here at MCS. The Bolinger family attends Clark's Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Bolinger enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family. Her favorite thing about MCS is the love the teachers and staff show her sons and her family. Her favorite scripture verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
Mrs. Boyd holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Science in Education from Nova Southeastern University, as well as Educational Therapy Certification. Mrs. Boyd joined MCS in 2018. Mrs. Boyd and her husband, Rodney, have three children - Lynnsey (a 2018 graduate of MCS), Michael, and Noah. The family attends Broadway Baptist Church. Mrs. Boyd's favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
Betsy Carr holds a B.S. degree in Education and a Masters in Education with a major in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Memphis. She has a love for students and wishes for them to have an understanding of God's Word and His great love for them. One of her favorite passages is found in Deuteronomy 6:4-9, "Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." Mrs. Carr believes there is nothing more important than having a relationship with the Lord.
Mrs. Cox is a graduate of Roane State Community College where she earned an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was with the Blount County School Special Education Preschool Program for 13 years prior to coming to MCS in 2017. Mrs. Cox is an active member of Marble Hill Baptist Church in Friendsville, where she is the VBS Director and is a 1st and 2nd grade teacher. She and her husband, Jeff, have a son, Nate. Her favorite scripture verses are Phillipians 4:11-13: I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength; and Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Mrs. Stebner holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, a master's degree in International Education, and is certified by ACSI. To work at MCS is a joy to her heart. Mrs. Stebner and her husband, Joe, served as missionaries at a school for missionary children in Europe. They have three adult children, Amy, Scott, and daughter-in-law Emily. They are blessed by God to have two grandchildren, Arlen and Lucy. Mrs. Stebner is a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 103.
Mrs. Stewart is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 10 years of teaching experience. She holds a BS degree from MTSU and an MA degree from the University of Tennessee. Her favorite thing about MCS is feeling the Lord's presence in every aspect of MCS, as well as using and seeing the Lord's power at work. Mrs. Stewart and her husband, John, have two children, Kara and Thomas, who are students at MCS. The Stewarts are very active at Sevier Heights Baptist Church, where they volunteer and lead a Bible fellowship class each week. Mrs. Stewart's favorite scripture is Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
Mrs. Strickland holds a B.S. from the University of Montevallo and a Masters in Special Education from Jacksonville State University. She is beginning her 4th year at MCS and likes that the students and staff have been so welcoming. Mrs. Strickland and her husband, Lew, have four children; Jesse, Anna, Andrew (MCS alum), and Kayla. The family attends Dotson Memorial Baptist and Mrs. Strickland relies on Philippians 4:4-9 as her favorite scripture: "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seenin me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
