Since 1994, Maryville Christian School has served as an extension of the home and a partner with the church in Christian education. "Christian," is our middle name, and it controls and characterizes every aspect of school life. Scholastically, it means that the Bible will be a foundational textbook for every subject, for it is the source of TRUTH revealed by God which supersedes truth discoverable by human understanding alone. Relationally, it means that students will be guided toward personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, Friend, and Lord; a relationship that bonds faculty, students, and parents as a member of a single body. Vocationally, it means that students will be encouraged to seek and follow God's unique plan for their lives, the purpose for which He wisely and lovingly created and gifted them. Morally and ethically it commits the MCS community to a distinctive lifestyle, "blameless and pure... in a crooked and depraved generation" (Phil. 2:15).
MCS is an inter-denominational Christian school with an enrollment of over 321 students in Preschool through twelfth grades. Students come from 5 surrounding counties and represent over 70 area churches.
We have dual accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
ACSI is the largest organization of its kind with members in all fifty states, all ten Canadian Provinces, and sixty-three other nations. The association offers its members assistance in numerous educational areas, such as school accreditation programs, staff conferences, and administrative support.
ACSI accredits over 23,000 schools and school systems from 100 countries. Today, ACSI is the global leader in helping schools improve student learning through accreditation.
SACS is a member of AdvancED which is the largest community of education professionals in the world. SACS is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of PreK-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential.
