MCS PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
The foundation of MCS is based upon parents partnering with school staff. Here are some opportunities for volunteering which will greatly help our school and the staff who work in it. Working together is vital to school improvement.
The foundation of MCS is based upon parents partnering with school staff. Here are some opportunities for volunteering which will greatly help our school and the staff who work in it. Working together is vital to school improvement.
- Classroom Assistance:
In this job one would be changing bulletin boards, preparing projects for classes, and various other classroom needs. - Maintenance Assistance:
Parents are needed to assist with the building and grounds, landscaping, athletic fields and playgrounds. - Lunch Order Counter:
Someone is needed on Monday mornings to count lunch orders for the week. - Lunchroom Monitors:
Two or three adults are needed Monday through Friday from 10:45 - 12:30. This job can be divided into two shifts. This job involves monitoring the children's behavior at lunch, selling milk, ice cream, and lunches, and general clean-up between classes coming into lunch. - HisKids Sports:
Parents are needed to assist with the PE classes in grades Pk-3rd. - Computer Science and/or Library assistant
- Friday Helpers
Someone to help teacher stuff Friday folders - Office Helpers
Help is needed periodically with mailings, paperwork, etc. - Room Moms and Prayer Coordinators
As a room mom there will be various responsibilities that each teacher will delegate to you.
As a prayer coordinator you will maintain prayer needs within your child's classroom.
If you are interested in volunteering at MCS please call Mrs. Donna Browning or Mrs. Paula Evans. Please contact the school's office to leave a message for these volunteer coordinators and they will gladly assist you in finding an area that you would enjoy to serve in at the school.
