MARYVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Pre-school Class for 3, 4 and 5 year olds
The MCS Preschool is committed to providing a developmentally appropriate environment which will encourage children to grow intellectually, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Requirements:
· For the 3-year old class the student must be 3 by September 30. For the 4-year old class the student must be 4 by September 30. Five year olds may be evaluated to determine appropriate placement. For the five year old class the student must be 5 by September 30 to enroll. Pre-K 5 is designed for children that are age appropriate for kindergarten, but need extra time to develop emotionally, socially or academically. After developmental screening, this placement is made by teacher recommendation, or parent request.
· Children must be 100 percent potty trained. Students may not come to school in pull-ups and must be able to assist themselves with all bathroom needs.

Three Year Old Pre-School Class: Thursday and Friday
- 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Half Day
- 8:00 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. Extended Day (Limited Space Available)
Due to the academic nature of the program students cannot be enrolled for less than two days per week.
Four Year Old Pre-School Class: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Half Day
- 8:00 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. Extended Day (Limited Space Available)

Five Year Old Pre-School Class: Monday thru Friday
- 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Half Day
- 8:00 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. Extended Day (Limited Space Available)

Curriculum: The pre-school follows an academic curriculum designed to prepare students for Kindergarten.
The Pre-School for 3, 4 and 5 year olds, is a vital part of the ministry of Maryville Christian School and is designed to provide a nurturing, Christian environment for each child to grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. A separate class for each age is available.
The staff is comprised of trained professionals who promote a good line of communication between teacher, parent, and child. The program is based on basic Christian values and principles in accordance with the philosophy of Maryville Christian School. It is recognized that each child is an individual and develops at different rates.
The class size is small to provide individual attention. A variety of activities are provided both structured and unstructured. There is unlimited creativity available for the preschool students.
