Administration

• Be sure to join us Saturday morning, May 15, at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast with the MCS School Board.  We will meet in the orchestra room and enjoy bagels, coffee, juice, and fellowship.  The Board wants to get to know you better and share their commitment and vision for MCS.  A question and answer session will begin at 9:30.

Lunch Information

• The lunch form going home today is the last one for this school year.  Please be sure to mark your order for our pizza party on Monday, May 24.  There is no charge for the pizza but everyone still needs to order so we will know how much we need.

Yearbook News

• Yearbooks are here!  We do have some extras – they are available in the office for $40.

Enrollment Papers for 2010-2011

• Please return all paperwork to the office as soon as possible so contracts can be processed.  Also, if you have not confirmed your enrollment for next year, please do so as soon as possible.  Please remember that registration and materials fees are due by June 1 in order to avoid a $150 late fee.  If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Elementary News

• The Drama Club Talent Show was a great success!  Thanks to Mrs. Moreno for working with these students and organizing the show. 

High School News

• The senior class will be taking exams next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, May 17-19.   
• Senior chapel and the awards ceremony for grades 9-12 will be held Thursday, May 20 at 9:45 a.m.  Please join us for this special program. 
• Students in grades 9-11 will take exams on May 25-27.  Exams will be from 8:30 – 12:30.  Exemption forms will be sent home next Friday.  The schedule is:
• Tuesday, May 25 – 1^st period (8:00 – 10:00) and 4^th period (10:30 – 12:30)
• Wednesday, May 26 – 2^nd period (8:00 – 10:00) and 3^rd period (10:30 – 12:30)
• Thursday, May 27 – 5^th period (8:00 – 10:00 and 6^th period (10:30 – 12:30)

Lost and Found

• Lost and Found is overflowing!  Please be sure to check for lost items.  Everything will be donated to charity after May 27.

Mission Trip Fundraiser

• A car wash is scheduled for Saturday, May 15, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Bristol & Bragg Jewelers.

Sports

• The spring sports banquet is tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. in the gym.  Everyone is to bring a covered dish.

• Congratulations to Cody W. and Kurtis B. for being named to the All Tournament Team last weekend at the Providence baseball tournament in Johnson City!

• It is not too late to sign up for summer sports camps!  Please fill out the registration form and return with your fee by next Friday, May 21.

Cash Cards

• Please make note that this is the last week to order cash cards.  Monday, May 17, will be the last turn in date.  We have added restaurants, gas cards, hotels, car rentals and additional denominations for Disney to help with summer vacations!

Prayer Requests & Praises

• A praise for our athletes and coaches.
• Please continue praying for the flood victims in Nashville.
• Please pray for the people on the Gulf Coast who are being impacted by the oil spill.
• Keep the teachers and students in prayer as we finish up the school year.
• Please pray for Thomas B. (Kindergarten student).  His grandmother, Kay Humbert, passed away this week.  Mrs. Humbert’s daughter, Amy, is a graduate of MCS.
